Shrimp and Oyster Feast

Imitation is the best form of flattery and that is case with the Shrimp and Oyster Feast held every February at the Reedville Fire Station. The granddaddy of all the local Shrimp and Oyster Feasts has grown and become the premier event of its kind. Prepared on site, the steamed shrimp and steamed oysters along with hot dogs and bean soup is such a hit that it has become necessary to hold 2 seatings.

Pig Pickin’ on the Point

In 2012 the department started a fundraiser at Buzzards Point Marina which featured bands, BBQ and golden beverages to officially kick off the summer. This event has grown to include the Chesapeake Cowboys boat docking contest and is always looking for new ways to start each summer with this celebration.

Stew Through

With the help of award winning Stew Master Randy Bush, this fundraising event is held in December every year to coincide with the Reedville Christmas House Tour and features delicious Brunswick Stew made on site in a more than 100 year old iron pot. What started with a single pot of 188 quarts of stew has now grown to a double batch being prepared and sold almost as soon as it is ready. Pre-orders are encouraged to insure you will not miss out on this culinary delight.
